Turner rescues Shire

East Stirling substitute Kevin Turner scored a late equaliser as the Shire held Annan to a 1-1 draw.

The first half was a scrappy affair with few gilt-edged chances, but the game came to life in the second period.

Andrew Mitchell opened the scoring in the 58th minute, rifling in his second goal of the season from close range.

The hosts improved as the second half went on and began to cause the Galabankies' back-line all kinds of problems as the game drew to a close.

Jim Chapman's side finally pulled themselves level in the 88th minute when Turner found the top corner of Kenny Arthur's net from the middle of the box.
