Leaders Forfar fight back to beat struggling Cowdenbeath
Ladbrokes Scottish League Two leaders Forfar mounted a second-half comeback to win 3-1 against bottom side Cowdenbeath.
Cowdenbeath took a surprise lead in the first half through Dale Carrick but they could not hold on as Josh Peters, Thomas O'Brien and Lewis Milne all got on the scoresheet to maintain Forfar's eight-point lead at the top of the table.
Second placed Arbroath kept pace with the top-of-the-table-side by edging out a tight 2-1 win against Clyde.
Colin Hamilton gave Arbroath the lead in the 26th minute before Peter MacDonald levelled the scores with his 12th goal of the season.
But Ryan Finnie picked up two bookings in the space of three minutes and Richard Little scored from a free-kick to give Clyde the win.
Annan continued their push for promotion with an emphatic 4-1 win against Stirling but it was not all one-way traffic as Blair Henderson put the visitors ahead before Smart Osadolor equalised on the edge of half-time.
After the interval, Annan proved too strong for their opponents as Osadolor scored a second goal to put them ahead before Maxwell Wright's double added gloss to the scoreline
Montrose rose up to fifth in the league standings with a 2-1 win against Berwick.
After a goalless first half, Michael McKenna broke the deadlock to give Berwick the lead before Chris Templeman equalised on the hour mark and Ryan Ferguson completed the comeback for Montrose.
Elsewhere, Shane Sutherland's hat-trick helped Elgin remain in third after winning 3-1 against Edinburgh.
Sutherland broke the deadlock in the 15th minute before adding a second shortly before half-time
Craig Beattie pulled a goal back for Edinburgh in the second half but all hopes of a comeback were snuffed out just minutes later by Sutherland who completed his hat-trick with a penalty.
