Annan Athletic 1-2 Forfar- Match Report

Lewis Milne's late winner crowns Forfar fightback

Lewis Milne's late winner kept Forfar's 100 per cent start to the Ladbrokes League Two season intact with a 2-1 victory at Annan.

The Black and Golds came out of the blocks quickly and were ahead midway through the first half thanks to Max Wright's penalty.

Forfar's Andy Munro was judged to have fouled David McKenna in the box and Wright slotted home his third goal of the season in all competitions.

Annan midfielder Darren Ramsay fired a volley just wide, while Josh Peters came closest for Forfar in the first half.

Peters was again whiskers away from an equaliser after the restart, but Blair Currie did well to deny the Loons striker before Milne hit the bar moments later.

The growing Forfar pressure was rewarded, though, when Munro atoned for his earlier error by heading home David Cox's cross on the hour mark.

Milne then bagged his third league goal of the season to complete the comeback for the leaders with six minutes remaining.
