Annan Athletic moved up to third place in the Third Division with a narrow away victory over Elgin City.The decisive goal came on 20 minutes when Phil Storey beat three defenders and rounded goalkeeper Ally Ridgers before rolling the ball into the net.

Storey was denied a second after the break, Ridgers saving the fierce drive.

Elgin's Steven MacKay headed against the crossbar and Annan keeper Craig Summersgill saved well from Darren Shallicker late in the match.
