Clyde V Annan Athletic at Broadwood Stadium - Match Preview

Barclay blow for Clyde

Clyde goalkeeper Jamie Barclay continues to be absent with an ankle injury as the Bully Wee look to move back to the top of League Two by seeing off Annan.

Manager Jim Duffy is looking for his men to produce the form they showed when they held Stranraer to a 1-1 William Hill Scottish Cup draw on Saturday.

He explained: "Some of our play particularly in the first half was excellent. Stranraer came back into things in the second but we always looked dangerous on the break.

"If we can hit that level of form again I will be delighted as we will need to play well to win."

Annan, who could also go top, will be without David Hopkirk after he suffered three broken metatarsal bones in their last outing against Stirling Albion.

The midfielder joins Peter Weatherson and Iain Chisholm, who have knee injuries, and Steven Logan, who also has a broken metatarsal, in missing out.

Manager Jim Chapman said: "It is disappointing to be without David after a disappointing tackle in the Stirling game. We have a great motivation to beat Clyde as it would take us above them and possibly to the top of the table.

"I watched them at the weekend and they played well so we have a lot of work to do."
