Annan Athletic V Elgin at Galabank Stadium - Match Preview

Duo back for Annan

Annan welcome back Iain Chisholm from illness and Steven Sloan from injury as they host Elgin looking for manager Jim Chapman's first win at Galabank since he was appointed in January.

Missing for the Black and Golds are Steven Black, who has returned to Queen of the South at the end of his loan spell, and the injured trio of David Murray (calf), Lewis Hawke (ankle) and Graeme Ramage (knee).

Chapman said: "We are playing competently but not spectacularly and have been unlucky recently in terms of not picking up all the points we have deserved. The spirit amongst the players is really good but we are lacking a bit of experience in the squad.

"Elgin are still going for a play-off spot so this will be a test of our stretched resources."

Elgin have Dennis Wyness available for the long trip south after more than two months out with a hamstring problem.

Ross McKinnon is in line for his debut after an ankle injury but Ross O'Donoghue (back), Lewis Halford (calf) and Darryl McHardy (toe) have been ruled out with Paul Millar, Mark Nicolson, David Niven, Stuart Leslie and Daniel Moore all rated as fitness doubts.

Borough Briggs boss Ross Jack said: "Winning against Queen's Park last Saturday and then Clyde on Tuesday has kept us in the hunt for a play-off place but we have to keep winning if we are to get there.

"Annan are a good side as they showed against Rangers recently. However, we have been boosted by six points from two games and are determined to add more."
