Annan Athletic V Clyde at Galabank Stadium - Match Preview

Annan wait on four

Annan will hand fitness tests to four players before the clash with Clyde.

Andrew Mitchell, Steven Swinglehurst, Steven Black and Chris Jardine are all trying to shake off knocks.

The Black and Golds are having a fine start to the League Two season and have a Ramsdens Cup semi-final to look forward to, yet manager Jim Chapman insists they are far from being the finished article.

Chapman said: "We are still young and learning and face a tough game against Clyde. We have to show that we can pick up results consistently."

Clyde welcome back defender David Marsh as they look to bounce back from last Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by East Stirling.

Stefan McCluskey looks set to drop out due to an ankle knock with a lack of recent match action keeping winger Sean Fitzharris out after he recovered from a hamstring problem.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "We were okay in spells last week but the unfortunate combination of missing chances and not defending properly hurt us.

"Annan have been going well and if we are to do anything on their patch we have to score when we have the chance and defend at a high standard for the entire game."
