Annan hit for six

Third-placed Annan are at home to Albion Rovers and the Galabank men are again hit with injuries, with six players ruled out.

Peter Weatherson (knee), Steven Black (ankle), Iain Chisholm (knee), David Hopkirk (foot), Chris Jardine (calf) and Steven Logan (foot) all continue to be missing.

Despite their problems, manager Jim Chapman's make-shift selections are unbeaten in three games.

Chapman said: "Albion Rovers have been terrific ever since they did League 2 a favour by beating Motherwell in the Scottish Cup.

"This will be a real test especially as we are again short of numbers.

"However so far our squad has proven to be strong and hopefully that remains the case."

Rovers, who are unbeaten in six games, include striker Mark McGuigan for the last game of his current loan deal from Partick Thistle.

The Coatbridge side are without the injured Peter Innes (leg) and Pat Walker (ankle), with manager James Ward praising his injury depleted opponents.

Ward said: "To be without so many players and win their last two games with late goals tells you a lot about the spirit at Annan.

"We played reasonably well to get the win over Queen's Park last week but we can play better.

"We need to ensure that we play as well as we can to take anything home with us."
