Annan add Aitken lose Townsley - Annan Athletic FC

Defender Andy Aitken has agreed a two-year contract with his hometown club, Annan Atheltic. The 32-year-old former Queen of the South and Gretna player drops down to Division Three following his release from Ayr United.

Meanwhile, Annan veteran Derek Townsley has decided to hang up his boots and retire from the game.

The 39-year-old is also stepping down from his role as assistant to manager Harry Cairney.
