Double boost for Athletic

Annan manager Jim Chapman has a full squad to choose from for the visit of Stirling.

Steven Sloan has recovered from a back injury and Omar Rabin is available after a ban.

It is a case of more of the same please from the Galabank men, as Chapman explained: "We played well in cup ties against Airdrie and Queen of the South before winning at Queen's Park in the league last Saturday.

"That was a dogged performance and the type of game that we have struggled to win in the past. My request to the players is simple and that is to keep doing what you are doing."

Stirling will be without the suspended Mark Staunton and the injured Darren Smith (knee) and Ross McMillan (thigh) as they look for their first win of the season. However, Ross Smith is available after a ban.

Albion assistant manager Martyn Corrigan is hoping that the players get rewarded for their efforts this weekend.

He said: "We lost 1-0 to Clyde last Saturday and it was a game that we did not deserve to lose. We are being very positive and playing a lot of good football so we will look to ensure we get what we deserve at Annan.

"They have started the season well however we can win."
