McColm blow for depleted Annan

Annan have added Stuart McColm to an already extensive injury list ahead of the visit of East Fife.

McColm has an ankle injury, while a win is vital if the Galabank men are to keep their fading play-off hopes alive.

But Jack Breslin (foot), Iain Chisholm (knee), Matty Flynn and Kieran Brannan (both knee) are all ruled out, while Andy Mitchell is a doubt due to a back injury.

Manager Jim Chapman said: "A play-off place is a long shot and if we are to have any chance of being there we need to hit a high level of performance quickly against East Fife and stay there for the entire game."

East Fife have added fit-again Alan Cook and Lewis Barr to their squad.

But Liam Smith, Stevie Campbell and Allan Walker are all doubtful with player/manager Gary Naysmith determined that his side hang on to fourth place.

Naysmith said: "The message to our player has been a simple one and that is if we win our games then we are in the play-offs.

"We do not need to worry about anyone else if we win our games and that is what we will be looking to do at Annan.

"We did well to defeat the league leaders last weekend and if we perform like that again then we will be alright."
